Outdoor courses

We have a number of partner gardens which provide the outdoor space and facilities required for our practical courses. These gardens are all within ten miles of Cambridge city centre, with easy car parking available and often public transport options too.

The gardens have been carefully selected to offer genuine practice of a wide range of gardening skills, such as pruning, planting, soil care and propagation. They also have indoor space for break times and some taught elements of the programme.

Indoor courses

Our indoor courses are taught at Lucy Cavendish College which provides the perfect, peaceful setting for small groups. The bright and airy classroom opens onto the college gardens and there is an onsite café for coffee and lunchbreaks, if required.

There are plenty of bike racks for cyclists and car parking is available at Castle Hill, on the surrounding streets or by taking the short bus journey from Madingley Park & Ride.

Join a vibrant community of gardeners who share your passion. Whether you’re seeking advice, inspiration or friendship, our school fosters connections that grow beyond the garden. All of us here are passionate about the benefits of horticulture, both as a career and as a leisure activity. Do join us!
